Ko tā mātou mahi – Our Role

The Graduate Accountant position provides an introductory route into the diverse Kāinga Ora Finance ecosystem. You will complete the first two years of our Graduate Development Programme through six-month rotations in the Finance Shared Services function, encompassing Treasury Settlements, Purchase to Pay, Finance Systems, Cash Management, and Payables, while simultaneously pursuing your CPA certification. You will be collaborating with individuals who are enthusiastic about finance and positively impacting communities and lives through the provision of housing for New Zealanders. To succeed in this position, the graduate accountant must possess the following:

  • A diploma in accounting, business, or economics, or an equivalent postsecondary credential
  • Possesses exceptional interpersonal abilities, an empathetic and motivating personality, and a sincere aspiration to attain operational excellence.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, including the capacity to negotiate with deference and justify decisions.
  • Experience with project management and Lean Six Sigma is a plus.
