Physical Requirement:

  • Males are 5 feet 7 inches taller than women, who are 5 feet 2 inches taller.
  • Chest: Minimum 3334 – 1/2 inches with a 1.5-inch expansion
  • 1.5 miles in 10.5 minutes for male applicants and 15 minutes for female applicants; this is the running test.

Applications submitted by hand or via courier or email will not be accepted or considered. Applications that are incomplete or received after the deadline will not be considered.

General Instructions for Islamabad Police Jobs

  • No candidate shall be granted a reduction in height, pectoral size, or age.
  • Candidates are required to provide accurate information. The provision of fraudulent information is punishable by up to seven years in prison under sections 420/468/471 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
  • Applicants must submit an affidavit stating that they have not been involved in any criminal case/activity. In the event of a false affidavit, the applicant will be prohibited from applying for police positions in the future, and legal action will also be taken.
  • A transgender individual may submit an application based on his or her self-perceived gender identity, in conformance with the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2018, and the gender listed on the CNIC.
  • Government employees who satisfy the eligibility requirements may apply through the appropriate channels.
  • At the time of the interview, candidates applying on the premise of a family claim must provide complete documentation of their claim, such as a pension book, retirement order, etc.
  • The character and academic credentials of selected candidates will be verified. In the event of fraudulent or false information or a criminal record, the selection will be withdrawn or canceled immediately, the candidate will be discharged or dismissed from service (if discovered after employment), and legal action will be taken against him or her.
  • The ICT Police website provides information regarding examination locations. ICT Police has the exclusive authority to designate a center for a candidate.
  • For the endurance test, candidates are advised to wear joggers or other appropriate footwear and bring their own container of water.
  • Only candidates who meet the physical/endurance requirements and pass the written examination will be contacted for an interview.
  • Candidates who pass a test or stage are qualified for the next test or stage. A candidate who fails any stage or test will not be qualified for the subsequent phase or stage.
  • The Departmental Recruitment Board (DRB) and its staff will verify the physical standards of candidates at the time of the interview; if any deficiency is discovered, the candidates will be disqualified from ICT Police recruitment, and legal action will be taken against them. The DRB’s decision will be final.
  • At the time of final selection, candidates will be subjected to a comprehensive medical examination by the Federal Government’s medical board/civil surgeon. Candidates with vision less than 6/6 will be disqualified during the medical examination. In addition, candidates with Hepatitis B or C or any other chronic illness will be disqualified.
  • The selected candidates must embrace the Government’s rules and regulations governing conduct, discipline, promotion, retirement, and other ancillary matters.
  • No TA/DA will be allowed for the written, physical/endurance, skill, and interview tests.
